- Finance minister nirmala sitharaman in her Maiden budget speech, urged SEBI to increase Minimum Public Holding In listed firm to 35% from 25%.
- It is urged by government which should be followed by SEBI, and If this happens then, Many company should increase Public share holding Pattern by 25%
- So, how It will effect market, as If It is followed in few Time later, for increasing share holding, rate of few stocks will be Temporary affect in Negative manner.
- If SEBI goes MAJOR MNC and companies with High promoter sharing pattern will see negative action in market.
- At present,Over 1,400 listed companies where promoters had over 65% stake as of latest regulatory disclosure.
- 6.Let me tell you, Over 40 PSU's with public holding lower than 35%
- Out of these, 28 still needs to pare down promoters stake to meet earlier guidelines of 25% stake to go public, means 28 have less than 25% public holding.
